LSU-UNO baseball game moved to Zephyr Field
BATON ROUGE - The LSU-University of New Orleans baseball game on Saturday, February 15, originally scheduled to be played at UNO's Maestri Field, has been moved to Zephyr Field in Metairie, La. First pitch will be at 2 p.m. CST.
The teams will meet in the 2014 season opener on Friday, February 14 at 7 p.m. in LSU's Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field before playing at Zephyr Field the following day.
"We were excited to host the nationally-ranked Tigers at newly renovated Maestri Field," said UNO athletic director Derek Morel, "however, the overwhelming interest in our home opener versus LSU and the desire to ensure a perfect grand opening of our new facility brought us to the opportunity to partner with the Zephyrs organization on this landmark event."
