LSU to celebrate 2003 National Championship Team Saturday
BATON ROUGE - LSU's first BCS National Championship team will be celebrated at Tiger Stadium Saturday during the Florida-LSU game.
The 2003 team that went 13-1 on their way to a 21-14 win over Oklahoma in the Louisiana Superdome will come back to be honored during the game against the Gators - the only opponent that year to beat the Tigers.
Noted members of the team expected to be in attendance: Matt Mauck(quarterback), Michael Clayton(wide receiver), and Rodney Reed(offensive tackle).
Former LSU head coach Nick Saban was also invited to the event, but he will be coaching Alabama in their game Saturday at Kentucky.
