BATON ROUGE - The LSU men's basketball team draws a tough foe for its opening home Southeastern Conference game as it plays host to the nationally-ranked Florida Gators Saturday.
Florida enters the game ranked No. 11 in the Associated Press poll and No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and won its SEC opener easily at the O'Connell Center in Gainesville, 77-44, over Georgia on Wednesday night.
LSU dropped its third game in 12 starts (9-3), 68-63, at Auburn Wednesday night to fall to 0-1 in the league.
Charles Carmouche led LSU with 15 points and seven assists, while Anthony Hickey had 13 points and four assists and Andre Stringer had 13 points.
