The LSU Tiger baseball team defeated Nicholls St. for the second time in ten days, winning 9-3 on Wednesday night in Alex Box Stadium.
LSU collected 13 hits, erupting for five runs in the eighth inning including Mason Katz's sixth home run of the season to put the game out of reach.
Coach Paul Mainieri sent ten pitcher to the mound who combined to allow three earned runs on six hits.
The Colonels held a one run lead in the fifth inning despite committing five errors on the night.
LSU will start SEC play on Friday night in Starkville against Mississippi State.
