LSU takes game one over Alabama in 16 Innings
TUSCALOOSA- LSU baseball took the first game of the series against Alabama in a thrilling 16 inning game.
Alabama hosted the tigers last night in a game that went down to the wire. At the end of the ninth inning, the game was still tied at 2-2.
The tigers pulled ahead in the top of the 11th inning off a 2-run home run from Chris Chinea. The tide brought it back to even in the bottom of the inning.
LSU was able to grab a lead in the top of the 16th after a 2-run triple from Connor Hale. They would hold on for the win after Alabama left two runners stranded in their last at bat.
Game two of the series will be today at 3 p.m.
