BATON ROUGE - LSU students got the chance to experience what it’s like to come out of the tunnel at Tiger Stadium as the Athletics Department invited students to join the Tigers for drills on Thursday afternoon.

Students participated in a range of activities including a dance-off and an obstacle course. Head Football Coach Les Miles took particular interest in a pair of female students who unleashed perfect spirals during passing drills. Some male students also excelled at catching punts at a distance of up to 50 yards, according to Coach Miles.

Students also received a full tour of the locker room and other behind-the-scenes parts of the gameday experience for Tiger players.

LSU takes to the field Saturday at 3 p.m. for Spring Game action as another season of Tiger football approaches. The game will be aired on the SEC Network. Admission to the stadium is free. They’ll open regular season play at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Sept. 3 as they take on the Wisconsin Badgers.
