LSU stays undefeated with 4-1 win over Texas Southern
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers stayed perfect with a 4-1 win over Texas Southern Sunday night.
Freshman pitcher Jared Poche once again stepped up on the mound for LSU, throwing seven innings, allowing one earned run, and striking out seven batters en route to a win.
Another freshman also stepped up for the Tigers - center fielder Jared Fraley blasted a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to break the game open.
"It's great to have that young of talent," said the speedster from Delaware. "For coach Mainieri to have trust in us to pich,hit, and field...it's just amazing for us all to come in and click like that."
