LSU stadium, tennis, gym construction updates
BATON ROUGE - LSU Athletics officials posted new pictures showing work on Tiger Stadium's south end zone is almost wrapped up.
The photos showed new carpet and other finishing touches in the south end zone's concessions area and locker room. Other work on the roads outside the stadium is still in progress.
The university also posted new pictures of work on the new tennis and gym facilities. Ground was broken in May for the new tennis facility, which will include will include six indoor courts and 12 outdoor courts. The LSU gym facility held its groundbreaking in July, and will allow the booming program to move into their own specialized facility.
The Tiger football home schedule starts Sept. 6 against Sam Houston State. Construction on the stadium should finish in the middle of August.
