BATON ROUGE - LSU has sold out of its entire allotment of Cotton Bowl tickets before the public even had a chance at them.
According to the LSU Ticket Office, the school had 12,500 tickets available and received more than 15,000 requests from season ticket holders and students.
"We sold every ticket we had to this game and they went quick," said assistant athletic director for ticket operations Brian Broussard on the school's website. "There is obviously a lot of excitement about going to play in the Cotton Bowl against Texas A&M."
The tickets sold for $125 each. This is LSU's first Cotton Bowl since 2002.
