LSU softball remains perfect, finishes sweep of Purple and Gold challenge
BATON ROUGE - The LSU softball team continued its best start in program history, improving to 21-0 with a 14-0 win over Stephen F Austin on Sunday in the final game of the Purple and Gold challenge.
AJ Andrews went 3-3 with 6 RBI and finished with a .909 batting average in the Tigers 5 games this weekend.
"It's one of the best weekends I've ever seen," said Tigers head coach Beth Torina about Andrews performance.
LSU is back on the field Tuesday against Northwestern State, with first pitch at 6pm.
