BATON ROUGE- The LSU softball team will travel to Athens, GA this weekend for a 3-game series with the University of Georgia Bulldogs at Jack Turner Stadium.

The Tigers go into the series after a 3-game loss against Florida in last week’s series at home. The losses dropped the Tigers to 26-8 overall in the season and 3-6 in conference play.

The Tigers took away wins in the first league series against Alabama, but lost four of the last five games and five of the last seven games overall to league opponents.

Georgia will be the fourth team ranked in the Top 10 or 15 that the Tigers will take on in league competition.

“When you play as many ranked teams as we have the last few weeks, it shows that you’re going to have to be mentally tough to succeed in this league,” head coach Beth Torina said.

Torina said that there is “a silver lining” the Tigers can use to come back this weekend.

All three games of the series can be heard locally on 107.3 FM with Patrick Wright.

Game one and three of the series will be streamed online via SEC Network +, available through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app.

Links to the stream will also be available at LSUsports.net.
