LSU softball drops series with loss to Texas A&M
COLLEGE STATION – A big rally late in the game was not enough to for No. 4 LSU softball to defeat No. 11 Texas A&M.
The final score of the game was 9-5 in Texas A&M's favor. Down by six points, the Tigers rallied four runs in the top of the sixth inning but could not topple the Aggies.
LSU Amber Serrett was the only Tiger to earn multiple hits Sunday. She would go 2-for-3 with a run scored. Constance Quin had multiple RBIs going 1-for-3 with two driven in.
Allie Walljasper allowed four runs on six hits with a walk and a strikeout in 1.2 innings pitched. Carley Hoover came on in relief and allowed five runs, four earned, on three hits with four walks and six strikeouts in 4.1 innings.
LSU softball will host Nicholls Colonels at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Tiger Park in Baton Rouge.
