BATON ROUGE - After three seasons guiding LSU's secondary, Ron Cooper is leaving the Tigers for the NFL to join the coaching staff for the Tamp Bay Bucs.

Under Cooper's leadership, LSU produced one of the top defensive backfields in the country the past two seasons. Patrick Peterson and Morris Claiborne won back-to-back Jim Thorpe Awards and Tyrann Mathieu was a Heisman Trophy finalist last fall.

LSU kicks off spring practice March 1st, and the annual spring game is set for March 31st.
