LSU has sold out of season football tickets for the seventh straight year.
Assistant athletic director Brian Broussard says LSU sold 68,650 season tickets for the 2010 home slate, equaling the school-record amount sold in both 2008 and 2009.
LSU has sold out of season tickets every year dating back to the 2004 season when 66,232 season tickets were sold the year following the Tigers' 2003 BCS National Championship. LSU sold 68,230 season tickets in 2007, 67,700 in 2006, and 66,300 in 2005.
Last year, LSU recorded the second-highest single-season average in Tiger Stadium history as 92,489 fans saw the Tigers' seven home games. That average was just shy of the school-record mark of 92,619 set in 2007. LSU ranked among the top 10 in the nation in attendance for the 10th straight year.
