LSU season tickets sell out, break records
BATON ROUGE - It's another sold-out year for Tiger football season tickets in Baton Rouge, according to LSU.
The university sold 68,772 season tickets, which beats their previous record for season tickets sold set three years ago.
LSU has sold out of season tickets every year dating back to the 2004 season when 66,232 season tickets were sold the year following the Tigers' 2003 BCS National Championship.
"The requests for LSU season tickets continue to be higher than the number of tickets that we have to offer," said assistant AD for ticket operations Brian Broussard. "However, we will continue to try to find ways to help those fans who couldn't get season tickets with mini-plans or individual game tickets."
Broussard said LSU will announce details regarding mini-plans and individual game tickets later this month.
LSU opens its 2011 home schedule on Sept. 10, hosting Northwestern State at 7 p.m.
