His sophomore year was when Quarterman showed the biggest gains in his career as he averaged 33.6 minutes per game and jumped from 2.5 points per game in 2014 as a freshman to 11.5 points his sophomore season. Quarterman had 133 assists (4.0 average) and the first triple-double by an LSU player since Shaquille O’Neal in 1992 when he posted 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a home win over Ole Miss (2/28/15).
“We are very excited for Tim Quarterman as he continues his life-long dream of having the opportunity to play at the highest level and that is in the NBA,” said Coach Jones. “We thank him for the three years that he played for us here at LSU and we are excited for the growth he had as a player and his continued development as a person over that time. We are hopeful and prayerful that his dreams will come true.”
