BATON ROUGE – LSU linebacker Devin White picked up Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for third time this year when the league office named him the recipient of the award on Monday.

White, who leads the SEC in both tackles (103) and tackles per game (10.3), had 14 tackles, and tackle for a loss and a quarterback hurry in LSU’s win over Arkansas. White and the Tigers' defense held the Razorbacks to only a field goal in the second half as LSU pulled away for a 33-10 win.

The sophomore from Springhill, Louisiana registered his sixth double-digit tackle game of the season and sits just outside the LSU top 10 for tackles in a season.

LSU's defense ranks No. 5 in the SEC in points allowed, total defense and pass defense. LSU also ranks second in the league in sacks with 31.

Earlier this year, White was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in wins over Auburn and Florida.
