BATON ROUGE - LSU announced Monday that senior tackle La'el Collins has been selected for the 2014 Rotary Lombardi Award watch list.

The Lombardi Award goes to the top offensive lineman, defensive lineman or linebacker in college football each year.

It's the second season in a row Collins has been a candidate. He's also on the watch list for the 2014 Outland Trophy.

A senior from Baton Rouge, Collins started 25 times in his career 32 games and has picked up 134.5 knockdowns in 1,690 offensive snaps. He moved to left tackle in 2013 after spending his first two seasons at guard.

The watch list will be revised and updated throughout the 2014 season until 12 semifinalists are determined. The 45th Rotary Lombardi Award winner will be announced during a ceremony on Dec. 10 at the Bayou Music Center in Houston, Texas.
