LSU's Beckham Jr. goes 12th in NFL Draft
BATON ROUGE - Former LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was picked 12th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.
Last year, Beckham Jr. had eight touchdowns and 1,152 receiving yards. With more than 2300 yards in 2013, he broke LSU's record for all-purpose yards in a season.
Beckham Jr. also won the 2013 Paul Hornung Award as the most versatile player in college football.
The former Tiger comes from a family of LSU athletes. His father, Odell Beckham Sr., played running back for LSU's football team from 1989-1992. His mother, Heather Van Norman, was an All-American track runner for the Tiger track team and won five national track championships while at LSU.
