LSU's bats come alive late, blast past SLU 8-4
BATON ROUGE - A 6-0 scoring streak helped LSU overcome Southeastern Louisiana 8-4 Friday and advance in the opening round of the NCAA Regional tournament.
LSU (45-14-1) trailed the Lions 4-2 before the rally, which came in the Tigers' last two at-bats.
Southeastern broke to an early lead with a first-inning homer by Andrew Godbold, then broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run blast by first baseman Sam Roberson at the top of the sixth.
LSU will face the winner of the 7 p.m. game between No. 2-seed Houston and No. 3-seed Bryant.
