BATON ROUGE- Charles Alexander, a two-time All-American and Heisman Trophy finalist who played at LSU from 1975-78, has been named to the prestigious College Football Hall of Fame.
The National Football Foundation made the announcement on Tuesday.
Alexander will be inducted during ceremonies in New York City in December.
He will become only the eighth player in LSU history to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, joining Billy Cannon, Tommy Casanova and Jerry Stovall.
