LSU rolls past 'Tide 3-2
HOOVER, Al. - LSU drove in two runs in the ninth inning to pull ahead, and Chris Cotton shut the door on Alabama in a 3-2 comeback victory in an elimination game Friday evening.
The Tigers were one strike away from elimination when Tyler Moore stroked an RBI-single to right-center field that brought Jared Foster around from first base to tie the score at 2. Ty Ross then followed that up with a game-winning hit that brought Moore in to take the lead for good in the top-half of the final frame.
LSU will now face Arkansas Saturday at noon in a rematch of the Tigers' 4-1 loss Thursday night to the Razorbacks.
