LSU rape suspect arrested in Atlanta
ATLANTA - Authorities in Georgia arrested the man suspected of raping a woman on the LSU campus during the university's game against Texas A&M.
Atlanta Police picked up Alberto Carlos Ford Monday night for being a fugitive out of Louisiana. He's awaiting extradition to Louisiana at this time, where he faces charges of aggravated rape.
LSU Police obtained an arrest warrant for Ford Monday after they said DNA found at the scene of the rape, a portable toilet put up for the football game, was a match for Ford.
Investigators said the victim told them Ford forced her into the toilet, and threatened to kill her if she screamed for herlp.
News 2 will have more on this arrest starting at noon.
