LSU practice day 4 report
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers held their final split squad practice of fall camp on Sunday with the veterans trying to beat the heat in the morning and the freshmen and selected veterans moving indoors for the afternoon session.
Anthony Jennings continues to see a larger role in the reps versus what he demonstrated for the media in the first couple of days in practice: Les Miles will get his first chance to see both of those players in an extended scrimmage on Saturday as they vie for the starting quarterback role.
Meanwhile the offensive line looks deeper than last year, with young players like guards Garrett Brumfield and KJ Malone ready to get more playing time this season. In fact, Brumfield says he's already taken reps with the first offense: a good sign for the former University Lab standout.
