LSU player arrested after fight
BATON ROUGE - LSU Police said they gave freshman football player Kavahra Holmes a citation for simple battery recently after a fight with two other students.
Capt. Cory Lalonde said the fight happened near Broussard Hall on Oct. 22. Officers at the scene were told by two students that the 19-year-old Holmes was with a group of other people when he pushed them down.
Lalonde said officers arrested Holmes and gave him the misdemeanor citation. He said the people with Holmes were not LSU students, and weren't cited.
Holmes is a backup cornerback for the Tigers after redshirting as a true freshman last year.
