LSU PD looks to identify Rec Center credit card thief
BATON ROUGE - LSU Police asked for the public's help Friday afternoon in identifying a woman who stole credit cards from a victim at the campus rec center and later used them to purchase prepaid credit cards at a Northgate area pharmacy.
LSU PD said the theft happened on Jan. 15 at the University Recreation Center, and a woman was later captured on security camera using the stolen credit cards to buy prepaid money cards at the CVS near the corner of Highland Road and State Street. Security camera footage of the woman approaching the cashier at the store was captured shortly before 10 p.m. on the same day the cards were stolen.
Anyone who is able to identify the woman is urged to contact the LSU Police immediately at (225) 578-3231. Anonymous tips can also be left at the LSU PD website by visiting http://www.lsu.edu/police/.
