LSU opened as a 14-point favorite over Mississippi State for their SEC showdown Saturday morning in Starkville.

LSU, 3-0 on the season, jumped to number 7 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Top 25 College Football polls, following the Tigers' 31-3 win Saturday night over Louisiana-Lafayette. MIssissippi State is 2-1 and unranked following the Bulldogs' 15-3 upset of Vanderbilt.

Kickoff for the LSU-State tilt at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field has been moved up to 11:21 am for television.
