LSU not getting style points, just victories
Les Miles says Jordan Jefferson will remain his starter for No. 12 LSU's home game against Tennessee on Saturday, despite the quarterback's slumping passing numbers.
However, Miles also says that backup Jarrett Lee is maturing and that the time for him to get more meaningful snaps is approaching.
Against West Virginia last Saturday night, Jefferson was 10 of 22 for 75 yards with two interceptions.
Jefferson has passed for fewer than 100 yards and no touchdowns in three straight games.
Still, Miles says he's pleased that dominant defense and good special teams has LSU at 4-0.
Miles also points out that Jefferson's passing numbers have dipped in part because LSU's strong defense has allowed the Tigers' offense to be conservative.
