BATON ROUGE - The LSU men's basketball team took the court for the first time this season and came away with a win.
The Tigers defeated a pesky Gardner-Webb team 93-82.
Gardner-Webb led the Tigers 43-42 at the half, but the Tigers Jarell Martin, Jordan Mickey, Josh Gray and Keith Hornsby led a strong charge to the finish. The four combined for 43 of LSU's 51 second half points.
Martin and Mickey led the team with 21 points each.
The Tigers hope to continue their winning ways when they take on Texas Tech at the PMAC Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. It's the final game of ESPN's 24 hour tip-off marathon.
