The ninth-ranked LSU Lady Tigers used an 18-point team high performance from senior guard Allison Hightower to rout Loyola of New Orleans 78-43 Tuesday night at the Maravich Assembly Center.

The contest was the Lady Tigers' only exhibition game of the season. They officially open the 2009-2010 season against Centenary at 2 pm Sunday at the P-MAC.

Hightower was named the 2010 Southeastern Conference Preseason Player of the Year.
