LSU hosts UNO at Alex Box tonight
BATON ROUGE - Second-ranked LSU will host the University of New Orleans tonight, the start of four home games this week at Alex Box Stadium.
After the series against UNO, LSU (45-7) will end its regular-season schedule with a final conference series against Ole Miss starting Thursday.
The Tigers sewed up the 2013 SEC Western Division title this weekend with a 2-1 win Saturday against Texas A&M. It's the second division title in a row for LSU, the fourth for Head Coach Paul Mainieri during his time with the Tigers.
"It's important that we continue to play well during the final week of the regular season," LSU coach Paul Mainieri said. "We have to build momentum as we head into the postseason, and I know our players have several significant goals in mind as we head down the stretch. UNO has played a very difficult schedule this season against a lot of quality programs, so I'm sure they'll be ready to play their best against us."
Tonight's game against UNO starts at 6:30 p.m.
