BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tiger hoops team continues to take care of business during this final stretch of the regular season, winning its fourth straight game tonight.
The Tigers defeated the Georgia Bulldogs, 61-53, to improve to 17-10 overall and 7-6 in SEC play. LSU has now won five of its past six conference games.
Sophomore guard Andre Stringer led the scoring with a game-high 18 points, while freshman Johnny O'Bryant chipped in with 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Tigers' inconsistency at the free throw line (18-30) kept the Bulldogs in the game late, but in the end, LSU held on to keep the win streak going.
Coach Trent Johnson and company now turn their attention to a road trip to Ole Miss on Saturday.
