LSU hoops roll Southern Miss 87-67, win seventh straight
The LSU Tiger basketball team has been away from the court for the last week, their rust started to show early against Southern Miss.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early 8-1 lead as LSU missed its first nine shots. The Tigers would rally though as they finished the first half on an 18-29 run from the field.
LSU had five players in double figures with Jarell Martin leading the way with 24 points and nine rebounds.
Tiger guard Tim Quarterman came off the bench and contributed 12 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.
LSU owned the paint, outscoring the Eagles 54-26 in the interior.
