LSU to hold eclipse viewing event, special glasses being distributed

BATON ROUGE - LSU is giving its faculty, staff and students an opportunity to safely view Monday's eclipse right on campus.
 
LSU's "Solar Eclipse at the Start" will be held in the LSU Student Union or on the Parade Ground outside. 

Students and faculty will be given special eclipse glasses allowing them to view the natural phenomena for three minutes without causing damage to their eyes. 

The event starts at noon and ends at 2 p.m.
