BATON ROUGE- Hundreds of jobs within the LSU Health System could be cut in order to absorb $29 million dollars in cuts.
The state is dealing with a $250 million shortfall. The budget plan leaves more than 400 LSU hospital system employees facing layoffs.
Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge is planning on $6.7 million in cuts affecting 148 positions.
