BIRMINGHAM, Al. - The LSU Gymnastics Team didn't score, but didn't need, one of their higher scores to advance after the first day of NCAA competition Friday afternoon.
The Tigers scored a 197.100, behind Oklahoma and Georgia(two teams they have already beaten this year), to advance to the NCAA Super Six round that starts Saturday night.
The final three teams to join in the Super Six will be determined in Friday night's session.
LSU had already tied the nation's highest score in 2014 with a 198.325 in the Baton Rouge Regional two weeks prior.
Junior gymnast Rheagan Courville came within .025 of nabbing the All-Around Title, but fell short of Michigan's Joanna Sampson.
