LSU gets commitment from 14-year-old QB
SAN ANTONIO - The LSU football team has gotten a commitment from a 14 year old quarterback from a well known football family.
Eighth grader Zadock Dinkelman from San Antonio is the nephew of Ty and Koy Detmer. Ty Detmer won the 1990 Heisman trophy at BYU and Koy Detmer was a star at Colorado. Both had long NFL careers.
Dinkelmann committed to LSU three days after he was offered a scholarship.
The commitment is non binding and continues a trend of youngsters committing early to colleges. Two other junior high players from Texas have made commitments this school year.
