LSU football freshmen accused of campus crimes
BATON ROUGE - LSU Police confirmed that two freshmen LSU football players were arrested and issued misdemeanor citations for on-campus incidents last week.
The first involved defensive lineman Trey Lealaimatafao, 17, of San Antonio, Texas. Police said he stole a bicycle parked outside of Middleton Library.
Freshman Lealaimatafao recently made headlines for punching a window at the football practice facility after an argument with his girlfriend.
LSUPD said second freshman defensive lineman Davon Godchaux, 19, of Plaquemine was accused of tossing firecrackers into a unit of the West Campus apartments.
Both players were issued misdemeanor citations on Thursday, according to LSUPD Capt. Cory Lalonde. Lalonde said the cases will be referred to the EBR Parish District Attorney's Office.
Both players have met with Coach Miles and will be "disciplined internally", according to Jake Terry of LSU Sports Information.
