LSU fans hoping for the best bowl game
BATON ROUGE- The LSU Tiger football season has been an emotional roller coaster ride for many Tiger fans.
Talk of a return to the national championship quickly evaporated with the suspension of Tyrann Mathieu, an injury-plagued offensive line, an uninspired showing in Florida and the heartbreaking loss against Alabama.
But fans say they're still standing by their team. Today dozens of fans crowded local sports bar in Baton Rouge to cheer on the Tigers. Fans say despite falling short of preseason expectations they're looking forward to the bowl season.
"I'd love to see them in the Sugar Bowl, if not, the Cotton Bowl, is not a bad alternative," said James Faucheux.
The Tigers won't know their postseason fate until after the South Eastern Conference championship on Dec. 2.
