LSU falls to Ole Miss in Game 2, 5-1
OXFORD, Ms. - The magic LSU had in Game One against Ole Miss wasn't present in the second game of the three-game series Saturday night, as the Tigers lost 5-1.
Mississippi starting pitcher, and Madisonville native, pitched seven innings, only allowing one (unearned) run to the Tigers.
LSU starter Jared Poche allowed seven hits and four runs in six innings of work against the Rebels.
In the first inning, catcher Chris Chinea drove a long fly ball to left field, only for Ole Miss' Braxton Lee to snag a would-be-three-run homer.
LSU and Mississippi will play the rubber game Saturday 1pm at Swayze Field.
