LSU faces UNC at 2 p.m. in elimination game
OMAHA - LSU faces number-one tournament seed North Carolina this afternoon as both teams seek to keep their title hopes alive in the College World Series.
The Tigers will be the home team in the 2 p.m. matchup against the Tar Heels. LSU fell to UCLA 2-1 this weekend, while UNC fell to North Carolina State 8-1.
The winner of Tuesday's game will play either UCLA or North Carolina State at 7 p.m. CT Thursday.
"We've got to win four in a row to get through the bracket," said Head Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri. "It's very doable; you've just got to go out and play."
