LSU empties bench as Tigers top UNO 9-1
NEW ORLEANS - Mike Papierski's 2 run home run was one of many examples of young players in action for the LSU baseball team, who easily turned away UNO at Privateer Park by the final score of 9-1.
Many stars of tomorrow got the chance to play, including Greyson Byrd, Greg Deichmann and Bryce Jordan, and even little-used Ryan May (Dunham) made an appearance as the Tigers played their final regular season game of 2015 in the state of Louisiana and their final non-conference game of the regular season. The Tigers will finish up their regular season slate this weekend at SEC opponent South Carolina.
The Tigers used 7 pitchers in the contest, as Hunter Devall gave up 2 hits in the first 3 innings, and the Tiger relievers only gave up 2 hits the rest of the way.
