BATON ROUGE- Dorms and on campus apartments at LSU are open, and students are able to return after a bomb threat forced them and the rest of the 30,000 students and faculty off campus earlier Monday.
Just before seven Monday night campus leaders announced authorities searching for explosives had cleared Residential Life facilities.
Crews are going building-by-building looking for any type of threatening device after 911 received a threat about 10:30a.m. Monday. An hour later, the entire LSU campus was evacuated- the first time ever for a bomb threat.
Living facilities and a select few other buildings were opened by 8:30p.m. Monday. Campus leaders said notifications about other facilities would be made "as appropriate."
