LSU dominates UAB in home opener, 56-17
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers took care of business in their home opener, blowing out Alabama-Birmingham 56-17 at Tiger Stadium.
The Tiger defense struggled in the second quarter, allowing 17 Blazer points on the board, but that would be the only quarter UAB would register points.
Zach Mettenberger went 16-for-19 passing for 282 yards and five touchdown tosses.
