LSU dominates A&M in SEC rematch, 68-49
BATON ROUGE - The talk going into the SEC matchup Wednesday night was all about getting 'revenge' from a 83-73 Tiger loss in College Station two weeks earlier.
While the team and head coach Johnny Jones downplayed the notion of having retribution in the A&M-LSU matchup, the 68-49 Tigers win helped quell the defensive demons LSU has tried to shake in SEC play.
"We made some adjustments this time around," said head coach Johnny Jones. "We took away some of their strengths, and I thought our guys as a unit did a great job [on defense]."
LSU now has to go on the road to play the top-ranked Florida Gators Saturday in Gainesville, Florida.
