LSU defeats San Francisco 71-63 in NIT 1st round

SAN FRANCISCO - LSU built a 16 point 2nd half lead, then held off a late rally by San Francisco as they survived and advanced in the NIT with a 71-63 win Wednesday night. 

The Tigers got 16 points from Jarell Martin, 13 points from both Johnny O'Bryant III and Shavon Coleman and hit 6 three-pointers in the 2nd half to beat the Dons. 

LSU now advances to the 2nd round of the NIT, where they'll meet top-seeded SMU in Dallas Monday night at 8pm.
