LSU cracks top 10 in AP and Coaches poll
BATON ROUGE - LSU climbed the rankings ladder after their blowout win over Sam Houston St. Saturday night.
The Tigers move up to No. 10 in the AP poll and No. 9 in the USA Today/Coaches poll. Last week, LSU was 12 in both polls.
LSU moved ahead of Michigan St. and Ohio St. after their losses. USC jumped ahead of LSU to No. 9 in the AP poll.
5 SEC teams made the top 10 in both polls. Alabama is ranked the highest at No. 3 and No. 2 in the AP poll and Coaches poll respectively. 8 SEC teams made the top 25.
The college football playoff committee will release their first rankings on October 28th.
