Former U.S. Senator named LSU speaker
BATON ROUGE - Former U.S. Senator J. Bennett Johnston will be the commencement speaker at the LSU Law Center graduation ceremonies. Johnston served 24 years in the U.S. Senate representing Louisiana. He was either directly or indirectly responsible for all energy legislation considered by the Congress during his terms. Johnston is a former graduate of LSU's Law Center; he was named LSU Law Center Distinguished Alumnus of the Year in 1997. Commencement ceremonies will be held Friday, May 25th at 9:30am in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on the LSU campus.
