LSU changes football uniforms for Auburn game
LSU Football is changing their uniforms for the Auburn Game. Nike Pro Combat will design a new uniform based on LSU's traditional look of white tops and gold pants, however they won't reveal the look until after the season has begun.
You might recall the Arkansas game from two years ago, where LSU wore the Pro Combat uniforms. They could look similar, however they are not going to be as flamboyant.
LSU is one of a handful of schools from across the country selected to sport the 2011 Nike Pro Combat system of dress uniforms for a game this season. Other schools include the United States Military Academy (Army), Boise State, Georgia, Michigan State, United States Naval Academy, Ohio State, Oregon, and Stanford.
Here's a couple clarifications for the Nike Pro Combat uniform LSU will wear vs. Auburn on Oct. 22 in Tiger Stadium.
• The LSU uniform will be unveiled in early September - today's release was only to announce the teams that are participating in the games featuring the Nike Pro Combat uniforms this year
• LSU will wear the Nike Pro Combat uniform ONLY for the Auburn game
• Oregon will wear the Nike Pro Combat uniform in the season-opener vs. LSU; LSU will wear its traditional uniforms (white jersey) against Oregon.
