LSU board member sworn in

BATON ROUGE--- LSU has sworn in a new member of the Board of Supervisors. Today, Jack E. Lawton Jr., an Oil-and-Gas executive out of Sulphur took the oath of office.

Lawton was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal in December to fill the unexpired term of the late Ben W. Mount from Lake Charles as the Seventh Congressional District representative.

He is the founding chairman of the Center for Coastal Conservation (CCA), which promotes recreational fishing in Louisiana.
